The campus (KIGA, VS – kindergarten, Volksschule/primary school) is conceived as an open, double-storey learning landscape and dovetails with the surrounding greenery and outdoor areas. Outdoor zones intersect the interior (patios), and sheltered play bays outside generate a diverse and differentiated spatial flow.
In order to address the need for quiet / concentration, (acoustically) discrete areas are integrated into the structure (classrooms for frontal teaching, library, team rooms, etc.).
The open but divisible learning and play zones are sited round about. All areas have a direct relation to the outside, and are of different floor plans and dimensions in order to react to the great variety of settings within school operations. Sightlines inside and out between the individual spatial zones support orientation and give teaching staff and children the required overview.
