Clemens Kirsch Architektur

Am Bichl III

5 star shaped houses with 3 floors each (total of 56 units)  are situated on the sloped perimeter in such a way to provide visual permeability on one hand as to block the downdraft of local warm winds on the other hand.

The project makes a valid contribution to the outskirts of Igls by mediating between the adjacent row development and the densely wooded hills. By turning the volumes by 30/60 degrees each flat gets wonderful views into the surrounding nature and abundant sunlight.

The apartments are accessed via a welcoming foyer and a split-level staircase (2+2 units per floor). Each flat is orientated in 3 directions, each room has a direct connection to a balcony.
